I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been seeing clients as a psychotherapist since 2002. I have Masters degree from Smith College School for Social Work. I am Certified in an approach called Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (and I continue to do advanced training in this method). I am currently in a Supervision track in this method. I also have training in psychodynamic theory as well as experience with CBT, DBT, relational psychoanalysis, trauma focused couples work, narrative therapy, play therapy and mindfulness. In my work I draw from a variety of approaches to find the right approach for each individual client. I believe that my job as a therapist is to work collaboratively with clients to help them set and achieve their goals. I believe that healing often takes place when one can truly be seen by another and that the right "fit" in the therapeutic relationship is the key to change. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and couples and I specialize in the area of gender/sexuality and identity.
In addition to my clinical training, I am certified by the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. I have received training by MAPS in preparation to work on MDMA research for patients with PTSD. I am currently receiving ongoing training & supervision in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, and part of a research group investigating the use of AEDP and MDMA. I am also becoming a Licensed Facilitator in Oregon, per OHA regulations, to provide Psilocybin Assisted Therapy.
