I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been seeing clients as a psychotherapist since 2002. I have Masters degree from Smith College School for Social Work. I am currently doing extensive training in an approach called Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy. I have training in psychodynamic theory as well as experience with cognitive behavioral approaches, DBT, relational psychoanalysis, trauma focused couples work, narrative therapy, play therapy and mindfulness. In my work I draw from a variety of approaches to find the right approach for each individual client. I believe that my job as a therapist is to work collaboratively with clients to help them set and achieve their goals. I believe that healing often takes place when one can truly be seen by another and that the right "fit" in the therapeutic relationship is the key to change. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and couples and I specialize in the area of gender/sexuality and identity.
